Ajay Peni’s band, Black Robin, delivered an electrifying performance at the Concert in the Garden held on the Chatham Islands on January 26, 2025.  Black Robin captivated the audience with their dynamic blend of contemporary sounds and deep-rooted cultural influences. ​

Ajay Peni, after more than 15 years in Australia, returned to his homeland, bringing with him a wealth of musical experience and storytelling prowess. His heartfelt connection to the Chatham Islands was evident, adding a profound depth to the band’s performance. The concert, set against the picturesque backdrop of Admiral Gardens, provided an intimate setting where attendees could fully immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of melodies and rhythms that Black Robin offered. ​
